Emily Brascoupe-Hoefler
Born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Emily Brascoupe-Hoefler studied visual art and photography at the
University of Western Ontario, graduating in 2003. Currently living in Ottawa with her husband Michael
and dog Lily, Emily enjoys spending her free time gardening, reading, and watching movies. Emily is also
a supporter of local produce, often attending the numerous farmers markets within the city.
It is difficult to find a time that Emily does not have a camera in hand but you may sometimes find her
teaching First Nations art with her father, Simon.
Emily grew up in an artistic family where her skills as an artisan were encouraged and has developed
into the photographic spectrum we see and enjoy today.
