Cheki Fun!
So these are just fun shots testing the cameras.
I had to start with a photo of Lily as that is what I seem to do with all my camera.
Lately we have been calling her “Zippy” – something Himself came up with. It is very fitting since she does tend to zip around. I was surprised with the quality of the image and the clarity for such a close up (about 1m away).
I wanted to try and take photos in different environments – so I tried it inside, outside and upclose.
With the Christmas tree I was pretty happy but sorry that you can’t tell that the tree lights are on. Outside worked out well however apparently when it’s really cold the film doesn’t process as quickly and I don’t know if that effected the color quality or not but the details look good – you can even see the spider attacking the front door (just kidding but it has a funny shadow from the spider sculpture by the art gallery). With the gingerbread house I got pretty close with good results – the house isn’t blurred or out of focus so that’s pretty cool.
I have been doing some research into Artist Trading Cards and it might become one of my hobbies for the start of 2009. I’m hoping that all these projects will give me some more ideas for the planned Father-Daughter show in the spring – I would really like to have some cool mixed media pieces included in the show.
So Happy New Year! It’s hard to believe it will be 2009 tomorrow so I hope everyone has a safe and fun evening!
Cheers!
