Alice in Wonderland Luncheon

So last weekend I coordinated a luncheon for Seniors. Our theme was Alice in Wonderland/Mad Hatter’s tea party.
We really tried to work with the theme and make the room colorful and fun. Our centerpieces were giant “cupcakes” and we had the table names and a faux-sparkler coming out. We created orchids with hearts (for the Queen of Hearts) that were given to everyone who attended.

I really loved the soft greenery that we used this year and I think the red hearts added a punch of color.
We had pictures around the room of black and white Alice lithographs and on the stage we had a Queen of Hearts (not shown) and a White Rabbit and little Rabbits along with Cheshire Cats hanging and relaxing on the stage.
I was really pleased with how it worked out and loved that so much of what we put on was made by the committee (but my Dad made the Cheshire Cats for us – for which I was really greatful – I think it tied everything together nicely). The event was really fun and I really enjoyed the committee of people I worked with.
