This weekend I went to So You Think You Can Dance Canada with a friend and her family. It was her daughters first concert – which is always exciting. We were sitting in the 7th row so we had an amazing view. I was happy because it’s always easier to get good concert photos when you are close and having to use a P&S camera.

Regardless of this fact I was still able to get some photos. I used the “sports” setting so I could take multiple photos and I tried to use the stage lighting to my benefit. It was hard since I didn’t have a tripod and my P&S has limited ISO capabilities. Regardless of this fact I got some shots I’m happy with and had a really good time. Here are a few of my favorites:

I really enjoy concert photography and would love to get into it more – we will see. A lot of concerts and stuff do not allow independent photographers to take photos but I am definitely going to look into it.
