Childhood dream achieved…and it’s probably not what you think…
When I was a little girl growing up my friend’s and I started the “Green Club” – we had various activities that we used to do but part of that club was that we all loved the New Kids on the Block, aka NKOTB, (that being said, I think some liked them more than others).
When they came to perform in Ottawa we were not allowed to attend the concert because we were too little, which was totally understandable, but our parents would walk us over to Lansdowne Park and we could listen to the music for a few songs from the bridge. 15 years ago (when I was 12) the NKOTB stopped performing together and I moved onto new and exciting grunge and alternative music…
Last night I went to a NKOTB concert – inside the stadium – for the first time!

I was so excited! It was like my childhood dream was coming true. I sang, I screamed and I laughed a lot – it was an amazing experience and I was happy to share it with a good friend.

It really was like being transported back in time for a few hours…people grow up and move on but there will always be a place in my heart for the New Kids, especially Joey.
