Willow needs you!
I love animals – I always have. Lily, my little maltese, is my constant companion at home and she’s almost always with me when I’m there. When I’m sick she lies on my pillow or on my legs and keeps me company and when I’m cooking she will lie on the carpet and watch me. Her companionship has been a great comfort to me since we got her 4 years ago. Why am I telling you this? Because not all companion animals live in happy homes and more and more have started residing at my friend’s farm.
Last year we started our own rescue, Willow’s Paws & Claws Rescue , and we (they especially) have been working to support other animal rescues in the city. Right now we are in the process of becoming a registered charity which is really exciting. I must admit that there is an ulterior motive to taking about this today. Over at Willow’s Rescue we really need help. As we are just getting started there are only a handful of us – four to be precise – and there just are not enough hours in the day for us to accomplish everything we want too.
We really need people to help us with fundraising, planning events and the newsletter. Might you be able to help us help Willow with her goal to make life better for as many animals as possible?
