09.09.09 – the moon was low in the sky and orange in color. I was trying to get a shot of it but having only my new P&S and not a lot of experience using it I wasn’t able to meter properly to get the details of the moon.

When the battery started running down the moon started getting more blurred so we decided to just call it a night.

As we were driving back I decided to try a few fun shots and these are the results.

I thought the photos turned out pretty cool which is always good!

This is my favorite and was my second shot – I love that it looks a bit like lightning bouncing around and the blurred area in the right hand corner.

It was a fun night and a good evening drive after a really busy and stressful day!

So I went to Saskatoon for work and while I was there I enjoyed a yummy dinner at a restaurant, the Bar King Frog, recommended by a friend. My friend and I enjoyed “The Met” which was olives, red pepper, feta cheese, hummus and roasted garlic with bagette (sorry forgot to take a picture) and then I had a grilled veggie salad with rosemary dressing – it was delicious and had artichoke, asparagus and pepper.

Our long weekend in New York was really amazing and go, go, go every day. We tried to fit as much into our trip as we could. At night we did a lot of walking, our “flâneur walking tours of New York” (as coined by my husband) – we just went where ever we thought looked cool and found a lot of the places we wanted to see.
