I love the Olympics and am very excited that they will be starting on Friday in Vancouver! I can’t wait to watch the skating, skiing and anything else I can catch on tv. I have been searching for the Olympic mittens since Christmas and finally found them on Sunday! I am very excited! There is so much cheer gear out there but these mittens and possibly a mascot hat may be all I get…unless I get one of those wicked sweaters that lululemon has…or one of the Birks mascot charms…Valentine’s Day is coming! let the games begin!

This morning was very exciting because the Olympic Torch relay was passing through Orleans. We woke up early and made it just in time to see the torch as it passed by.

We were fortune and were able to park our car on the other side of the street for a quick exit after the rolling convoy passed.

For those of you who don’t know. I love the olympics. I used to watch the winter olympics with my mum and sister every time they came around. I loved following the athletes, cheering for Canada and, yes, crying during the opening ceremony. Although we also watched the summer olympics – the winter olympics were our favorite, especially the skating. Read the rest of this entry »
